There are a lot of people going around right now saying that Sunday was The Greatest Day in Boston Sports History.
Clearly, these people did not see Tom Brady's sweater.
About an hour after Brady led his Patriots to a remarkable, last-minute win against the New Orleans Saints, and right as the Red Sox were taking the field in a playoff game that would include its own insanely unlikely Boston comeback win, the most important story of The Hub's important sports day was unfolding.
Many would later say that perhaps it should have remained folded, neatly, in the back of Brady's closet. Or his wife's closet, where legions of Twitter's armchair couturists suggested Brady's post-game, white, cowl neck sweater came from.
The quarterback may have been the star, but his sweater stole the show. Unfortunately for Tom -- and the sweater.
While many were caught off guard by his "Grandma By The Fireplace In Nantucket in February" fashion, at least one person saw this coming before the game started.
Good thing they won, then.
Still, I'm finding it a bit strange that with all this attention on Brady's postgame look, nobody has said anything about his haircut. How are we not talking about this yet?
Seriously, who wore it better?
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Seattle Seahawks' defensive back Walt Thurmond is just bummed that now nobody noticed his sweet, steampunkish, top hat-accented postgame get-up.
