While comic book powerhouses Marvel and DC continue to dillydally on producing a female-backed superhero movie, the good folks over at Rainfall Films have done the Internet an Amazonian solid and released a short "Wonder Woman" film.
To say that the video is popular would be like saying the Hulk is hot-tempered. The two-minute clip, starring actress Rileah Vanderbilt as "our live action interpretation of Diana of Themyscira, Wonder Woman," is approaching 2 million views after just a few days online.
In the video description, director Sam Balcomb says: "We spent the majority of 2013 working on this -- the look, the feel, the aspects we most wanted to portray. It's a scant two and half minutes, but in the end, it's one hundred and fifty seconds of pure fantasy, where I get to consider the two sides of my favorite warrior: a crusader in man's world, and a paragon of virtue told through Greek mythology."

Let's hope a woman-led superhero movie becomes a reality soon.
