Tuesday, August 20: A pre-trial hearing could determine whether Michael Madison will face the death penalty if found guilty in the slayings of three Cleveland women. The bodies of the women were found in plastic bags near Madison's home.
Wednesday, August 21: It's a day to celebrate everyone's favorite search engine: Google co-founder Sergey Brin celebrates his 40th birthday today. We bet he'll get a cool Google doodle, too.
Thursday, August 22: NASA will be on hand to provide live coverage as two Russian cosmonauts talk a walk outside the International Space Station. If your son or daughter is dreaming of a career as an astronaut, this ought to be worth watching!
Friday, August 23: On this date in 1989, Pete Rose accepted a lifetime ban from Major League Baseball for gambling. New York Yankees' star Alex Rodriguez recently got a 211-game ban for his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs, although he is appealing the decision.
