This Sunday would have been Travis Alexander's 36th birthday. To celebrate the murder victim's life, his sister Tanisha Sorenson is planning a day of service.

Some events are open to the public, and among those Sorenson expects to attend a separate, private celebration are some of the jurors who found her brother's killer, Jodi Arias, guilty of first-degree murder.

Sorenson's invitation is being shared across multiple social media accounts and says, "We will be setting up in Arizona for a day of service, I hope everyone who supports our family and Travis will somehow give service to others this day and always."

"Travis' birthday falls on the Sabbath and I'm excited to also attend what would of been his family church service on that morning. We will be joined at LDS Church Sacrament Service with fellow friends to also Honor Travis."

Sorenson says "care packages" are being put together for distribution "to those in need" at a local park after the service.

Alexander's sister is also hosting a private "Remembering Travis' Birthday" party, which is expected to be attended by "close friends, friends and some of the sweet jurors who served on the trial."

Although Arias has yet to be sentenced, those jurors were released from their duty after being unable to reach a unanimous verdict during the penalty phase of the trial in May. A new jury will be seated for the re-trial of the penalty phase, which is expected to begin in September.

Sorenson says there is special significance for her in celebrating her brother with a day of service. "Travis always did things like this and this exact activity is something Travis and I did together the last day I spent with him and it made me feel so good inside. I will always cherish that last day we spent together helping the homeless."

She closed her note with:

"Lots of Love,

Tanisha Sorenson
