An Italian court has set September 30 for the retrial Amanda Knox’s retrial for murder.
Knox is the former American student accused of killing her roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia in 2007.
Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were originally convicted in Kercher’s death and spent four years in jail. The pair was released on appeal. Last March, Italy's Supreme Court overturned the lower court's decision.
Knox, who returned to Seattle, Washington, after her acquittal, is not expected to attend the retrial.
