Osama's secret life

  • Report says he wore a cowboy hat & grew veggies
File photo: Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil was killed by U.S. forces Monday, May 2, 2011, in a mansion in Abbottabad, about 30 miles north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad

Osama bin Laden wore a cowboy hat to keep from blowing his cover while he was in hiding out in Pakistan?

Yes, according to a scathing Pakistani government report about his final days that was leaked to the press.

The report calls the Pakistani government "incompetent" for failing to keep bin Laden out of the country and for not stopping the U.S. military raid that killed him.

It says bin Laden fled to Pakistan one month after the September 11th attacks.

It also says he once shaved off his beard to avoid being recognized.

And he held vegetable-growing contests with his grandkids at his compound.
