When it comes to happy turtles, at least three of them may be some of the world's happiest.
Three Kemp's Ridley turtles were returned to the sea Thursday at Playalinda Beach at Canaveral National Seashore after being rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard off Cape Cod in December, according to HLN affiliate CF News 13.
The turtles were part of a group of 36 that were suffering from cold stress when they were rescued. SeaWorld Orlando took the little guys in and cared for them tirelessly.
Two of the turtles were suffering from pneumonia when they were brought in, but after a slow and steady recovery, these three have gained some of their lost weight and are finally healthy enough to get back to sea.
So far, 34 of the 36 sea turtles are paddling around in the ocean again. If the vision of them flapping their little arms around like the guy in the photo up there doesn't make you feel warm and fuzzy, you may want to check your own pulse for signs of life.
