Nelson Mandela is now on life support.

South Africans were seen throughout the night lighting candles and leaving gifts for their former president. Current South African president Jacob Zuma canceled travel plans for toda and police are barricading the street leading to Mandela’s hospital.

The 94-year-old has been hospitalized for nearly a month for a lung infection.
