Two U.S. Air Force pilots were able to eject from their F-16 fighter jet just moments before it crashed last night.

People near Luke Air Force Base, near Phoenix, say the jet exploded and burst into flames before it went down.

The pilots were seen walking around a short time later, and base officials say they're okay

There's no official word yet on what went wrong.
