The best Internet cat videos you've never seen

It's hard to believe that it took this long for someone to declare the first Internet cat video festival, but perhaps it was worth the wait. Oakcatvidfest has taken the honors of that title and celebrated their second event this past Saturday, and judging on attendance, people are all about getting together and watching some YouTube videos of cats being ... cats.

You know all the classics: Very Angry Cat, Keyboard Cat, Surprised Kitty, Ridiculously Happy Cat, and of course, Internet superstar Grumpy Cat. But perhaps there are even more to be seen in the annals of YouTube, if only you knew where to dig ... or could type in the right language. Allow us to assist you. There's more than Maru when it comes to strange, wonderful foreign cats, you see.

This is Shiro. He is a very famous Japanese cat with several brothers and sisters. They do great things, especially with letting their owners balance things on their heads. They may also officially be the most chill cats on earth.

This is Pookke, a Scottish fold. While not as popular as Shiro, Pookke still has a decent following and even has his own Twitter page and a book about his exploits.

Dressing your cat in clothes is a popular thing to do in Japan. Shirobuu is likely a lot grumpier than Grumpy Cat because of this. You would be bummed out too if you were forced to wear a wig (especially when your body is covered in hair in the first place).

This cat is meeting a box of crabs for the first time. It is rightfully confused.

In Japan, cats and babies are often friends. Mao the cat will not let his friend cry, because it's your job to comfort your friends.
