George Zimmerman wants the jury in his murder trial to take a special field trip.

His defense team is asking that they travel to the Florida townhouse complex where Zimmerman confronted 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

They want jurors to see firsthand where the fatal shooting took place.

Zimmerman faces second-degree murder charges in Martin's death.

He claims it was self-defense.
