Ok, we admit it. We're big saps. When Mother's Day commercials come on, we get a little misty. Ok, maybe a lot misty. We may have the sudden urge to call mom up and be like, "I LOVE you Mommy," and listen to her get confused as to why we are interrupting her dinner with an unnecessarily emotional phone call.
Whatever. It was the commercial's fault!
Like this one! Seriously Publix? You make us crave pinwheels and pickles and then you sock us right in the feelings? That's low.
Oh, or this one. It may be in Spanish, but we know what te amo means (I love you). What is this emotion water coming from our eyes?
Verizon, you are a wireless phone carrier. You have no business making us feel like this.
Sure, this may be an Olympics commercial, but it still applies. Oh, and it is a whopper. Sorry we weren't world class athletes, mom!
What would a world be like without moms? Why are you asking us such an awful question? It would be so bad! Excuse me, we need to make a call.
"Hi, Mommy? I just want to hug you right now!"
"And whether we're near or far, you're always close to our heart!"
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY moms, mommies, grammas, nanas, aunties, daddies, caregivers, foster mommies and special friends! We love you!
