  • Witnesses say they heard as many as 5 shots
  • Not clear who fired fatal round
Scene outside Bush Intercontinental Airport after shooting in ticket area May 2, 2013

People began screaming and running when a man opened fire at a Bush Intercontinental Airport Thursday.

Police say 29-year-old Carnell Moore fired at least one shot into the ceiling in the ticket area.

A Homeland Security agent then shot at the suspect who appeared to shoot himself at the same time.

HLN affiliate KTRK reports Moore was killed but it's not clear if the fatal shot was self-inflicted.
