Taking recovery to the streets in Boston

Boylston Street re-opened on April 24, 2013 after being closed for several days. The road was shut down during a massive manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told authorities he and his brother, Tamerlan, planned to drive to New York and set off six bombs in Times Square, but their plan fell apart when the SUV they carjacked ran out of gas.

Police say Tsarnaev revealed the plan in a second round of questioning from his hospital bed.

Tsarnaev was photographed in Times Square last April during one of two trips he took to the city last year.

He originally told investigators he and his brother planned to go there and party after the marathon bombings.
