  • Carmakers all use airbags from one Japanese supplier
Over 3 million Japanese cars recalled for airbag problem

More than 3 million Japanese cars are being recalled because of a problem with the airbags.

Honda, Toyota, Nissan & Mazda are all recalling airbags made by the same manufacturer. In a crash, the airbags could deploy with too much force. There are at least six cases of it happening.

The list includes popular cars like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. All of the affected models are 10 to 12 years old.

If you have one of these models, you'll be notified to get your airbags replaced for free.
