Six-figure checks are in the mail for some military families who were wrongly kicked out of their homes by the big banks.

During the housing crisis, some foreclosures were rubber-stamped without the proper documents, and there were other abuses.

Now, more than 1000 military families will get checks for $125,000.

Those checks will be in the mail by Friday.

Millions more people will get much smaller checks – about $300 -- because it wasn't clear how badly they were hurt.

The banks admit no wrongdoing.
