The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has just approved a new drug that could change the way diabetes patients treat their condition.

But it's not just a new drug, it's the first of an entirely new class of diabetes drugs.

Instead of manipulating your insulin levels to control your blood sugar, Invokana actually increases the amount of blood sugar that's excreted through your urine.

There are some potentially serious side effects you should talk about with your doctor.

This could be a big money-maker for Johnson & Johnson. Invokana will cost about $9 a pill.
