Tabloids have never exactly been kind to the Kardashian clan, but now that Kim Kardashian is pregnant, the headlines are “on another level.”

These kinds of headlines are accompanied by photos of Kim in an unflattering outfit (taken from an unflattering angle) and claims that she’s pigging out on junk food, struggling to stick to an extreme diet, or that her boyfriend Kanye West is to blame for her maternity fashion choices.
In an interview with Extra, Kim says the tabloids are about “60 pounds off” when it comes to her pregnancy weight gain. “I have the biggest sweet tooth and I love junk food — being pregnant, I don’t like any of it. All I eat is carrots and celery and ranch and protein bars, gluten-free stuff, sugar-free stuff,” Kardashian added, saying she’s still waiting for those bad food cravings to kick in.
As far as her wardrobe malfunctions, Kardashian says her older sister Kourtney — a mom of two — warned her about the new wave of body image criticism that comes with pregnancy. So here’s how she deals with it: “My theory is happy mommy, happy baby. So whatever makes me feel good, I want to wear it,” Kardashian told the "Today" show.
The reality TV star did admit that she has struggled with adjusting to her new pregnant body, but she’s learning to embrace her new bump. “At the beginning, it was tough for me when your body changes so much, but once you grasp that and embrace it, it's amazing," Kardashian told Extra.
Since then, several publications have called for bloggers and tabloids to stop fat-shaming the expectant Kardashian. As the Daily Beast put it, “When Kim debuts whatever strange and overly styled thing she wears next, let’s love it or hate it — but please, let’s not talk about her weight.”
