For reality TV stars, Jim and Michelle Duggar manage to make something as mundane as family life seem positively unreal. With 19 children in their pack, the stars of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" have made a name for themselves for the sheer size of their brood. And now it seems that they are considering more additions to the family: Michelle has told People magazine that they are open to the idea of adoption.
"We are praying about it, and we will see what God has in store. Love for children has been placed on our hearts," Michelle told the magazine. "It doesn't really matter whether I would have another child or we would adopt, but we want to approach it with an open heart."
The couple suffered a shock when Michelle miscarried what would have been their 20th child in December 2011. Their family situation has been the subject of much speculation, especially since the couple chooses not to use birth control.
While the Duggars are receptive to the idea of adoption, Michelle says that the couple must be sure that it is what God wants for them.
"When he gives us a child [through pregnancy], there is no doubt in our minds that is what He wants, but when it comes to adoption, we would have to know for sure that was His will, " she told People.
