Rapper Lil Wayne was released from the hospital Monday night following a week-long stay after reportedly suffering a seizure.
The 30-year-old's publicist confirmed that he had been released from Cedars Sinai Medical Center on Monday, but did not offer any other details on the rapper's condition or cause of the seizure.
Mack Maine, the president of Young Money, Wayne's label, tweeted that he was thankful to the hospital and glad his friend was recovering: "@LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home...God is great." Lil Tunechi is Wayne's nickname and Twitter handle.
The rapper, who has a history of seizures, was reported to be near-death last week, but he and his associates shot down those rumors. "I'm good everybody," Wayne assured his fans in a tweet Friday. "Thnx for the prayers and love."
