Lil Wayne and Twitter are both recovering after the rapper's seizure ignited a social media firestorm Friday.
When news of the rapper's medical emergency reached Twitter, fans and followers were in a frenzy -- spreading rumors that Wayne was near death. In an effort to debunk some of the false tweets, Young Money record label president Mack Maine tweeted "Dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe ... that's false!!"
A tweet from Lil Wayne's account also attempted to calm the storm. "I'm good everybody," read a message from Lil Wayne's Twitter account. "Thnx for the prayers and love."
Maine says that at the time the incident happened, the pair were watching Syracuse University Orange play Georgetown in the Big East men's basketball tournament. This is Lil Wayne's third seizure in six months.
Drake and other members of the New Orleans artist's camp waited outside the Los Angeles hospital where Lil Wayne is being treated.
The public relations department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center did not confirm or deny that Lil Wayne is there, per its policy.
