A pretty big fish in al Qaeda is now in U.S. custody.
Sulaiman Abu Ghaith is Osama bin Laden's son-in-law. The U.S. Treasury Department describes him as "the official spokesman of al Qaeda since his appointment to that position after the attacks of September 11, 2001."
The department also says he has appeared as "the mouthpiece of bin Laden” in several videos.
Abu Ghaith was captured in Jordan within the last week. He’s now being held in New York.
He will face federal charges – which are laid out in a sealed indictment – on Friday.
