In the time (and number of characters) it takes you to tweet your regrets after eating the whole Pizza Hut pie in one sitting, you could be working for the company instead.
The pizza-slinging chain is looking for a social media manager and all potential applicants will have, yup, 140 seconds to sell themselves in an interview. That's hardly enough time to guess what "P'zone" is supposed to mean.
However, if candidates present a coupon, they get an additional 40 seconds plus a free 2-liter bottle of Coke and hot wings. (Not really.)
But the rest of this is verifiably true. See? They posted the listing (and a snappy video) on their Facebook and Twitter pages Wednesday. The video's jargon-stuffed prodding -- asking if you're "the #KeeperOfTheHashtags" or a "Master of Memes" -- itself makes a pretty good case that they could use an extra hand.
With the whole job application firmly rooted in hip/buzzy/trendy/social media Internetty origins, it only makes sense that the 140-second interviews will be held at the hip/buzzy/trendy/social media Internetty capital of America, Austin's annual SXSW.
Applicants who meet these requirements can show up at the Austin Hilton March 10 to show off just how effectively they can sway an audience within tight time constraints -- something which will come in very handy for a social media manager.
