Sometimes reading into jury questions can be tricky, subtle or difficult. Sometimes it's a lot easier: Enter Jodi Arias' jury. An overwhelming majority of the jurors' questions went something like, "Why did you do this, why didn't you just do that?" I could almost see the skepticism oozing out of their questions. Questions that many of us in the newsroom have been asking as well.

They all focused on her story. This is huge. When you claim self-defense, you need to sell your story. This jury has identified so many aspects of her story that do not make common sense. Could they have this many skeptical questions and still believe what she has told them? I don't think so. If they weren't buying it during direct examination, why would they buy it now? This was a disaster for the defense. Her testimony is sputtering to the finish line.

Now, the defense needs their experts to clean up this mess. Good luck with that.
