A 42-year-old Louisiana woman has been arrested after allegedly pushing an elderly relative to the ground, causing a fractured hip and injuries to the victim's head and hand.
Authorities say Jennifer Demary contacted the 86-year-old female victim around 4 a.m. on Tuesday and asked for a ride home, WVLA reported.
When they arrived at the home, Demary allegedly demanded money and the woman's car keys, according to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office. An altercation reportedly ensued after the victim refused.
Demary was charged with second-degree battery and cruelty to the infirm. Her bond was set at $65,000.
