Lena Dunham is sick of all the Hathaway hate!

The "Girls" creator and star is defending Anne Hathaway, who has incited the inexplicable wrath of people everywhere after her Oscars acceptance speech and wardrobe choice Sunday night.

Dunham took to Twitter to ask her followers to back off the Best Supporting Actress winner: "Ladies: Anne Hathaway is a feminist and she has amazing teeth. Let's save our bad attitudes for the ones who aren't advancing the cause," she posted Tuesday.

The 26-year-old HBO star didn't stop there, saying that while Hathaway was a class act, there was someone else who people should be directing their ire toward: "Hey ragers. 'The ones who aren't advancing the cause' I mentioned aren't always, or mostly, women. Case in point: I saw your boobs," she wrote. 

Dunham, of course, is referring to Oscars host Seth McFarlane, whose opening musical number, "We Saw Your Boobs," has been referred to as misogynistic and immature.

Predictably, Dunham's tweets received a lot of attention and backlash, which prompted the actress/writer to try to clear the air with her signature humor: "Now I've said something murky about women's lib and will return to eating edamame/thinking about moving to Austin like I always do!"
