If you really need a unique way to show the person you love that you hold them first and foremost in your heart, perhaps you should consider giving them a gummy gear replica of your entire body. You know, so they can eat it.
It might sounds wacky, but Japan's new Shibuya hangout FabCafe has gotten a positive response to the idea so far. In fact, they have already done one event that allowed participants to make chocolate replicas of their own faces for Valentine's Day. The holiday works a little different in Nippon -- only women give gifts on Feb. 14, but then, a month later, men give similar gifts on a day called White Day. The Gummy Bear event is being held in advance of White Day, and it's actually only offered to men since they'll be in need of White Day gifts for their sweethearts.
In order to take part in the two-day event, men must have their entire bodies captured using a 3D scanner. Then, on day two, they'll get to choose what color their gummy spiritual twin will be before it's finally created. For only 6,000 yen ($65 US), it sounds like a total steal. FabCafe's website advises that you "consider a pose that will captivate her" when you get scanned for the procedure. But really, no matter the pose, who wouldn't be captivated by an edible version of their significant other?
