Carmen Electra is proof that 40 really can be fabulous.

The former "Baywatch" star decided to don her famous red swimsuit once again for In Touch Weekly.

Electra tells the magazine, "I feel better than I did at 25!"

She credits a protein and vegetable diet -- plus a lot of discipline -- for helping her keep her physique looking sleek.

So, now that she's modeled the swimsuit, would she consider taking the next step and baring it all for Playboy again?

Absolutely!

"I love Playboy -- they supported me from the beginning," Electra tells In Touch. "I heard I've had the third-most covers of anyone, after Pamela [Anderson] and Anna Nicole Smith. I'm very proud of that!"
