A massive winter storm has dumped more than a foot of snow in some places. Some 20 states have been hammered by this thing so far, including Missouri which has declared a state of emergency. They could see more than 10 inches of snow there.
It has spread across the country, dumping snow in the west and the north and torrential rain elsewhere.

More than 500 flights are canceled across the country so far Friday. More than a thousand were canceled yesterday.
In Wichita a United flight from Denver got stuck in the snow on a taxiway for hours.
Roads were so slick in Kansas City HLN affiliate KMBC caught a city bus losing control and taking out a street lamp. some 25 snow plows are trying to keep streets clear there.
