Be the first through Google's looking Glass

#ifihadglass contest runs through Feb. 27
Winners get first chance to buy device

Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google appear at the keynote with the Google Glass to introduce the Google Class Explorer edition during Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O, on June 27, 2012 in San Francisco.

You could win the right to pay $1,500 and be among the first to experience Google Glass. Google is holding a contest to see who gets the first ones.

Using Google+ or Twitter, tell Google what you would do if you had Google Glass. Your submission needs to be 50 words or less and must be publicly posted before midnight Pacific time on Feb. 27. The submission must include the hashtag #ifihadglass.

All those tweets and posts will be boiled down to 8,000 candidates who will be given the opportunity to buy the new device that acts like a smartphone built into a pair of eyeglasses.

Visit the Project Glass website for all the information you need to enter.

The Glass Explorers will get their devices in mid- to late March (they'll have to pay their own way to New York, L.A. or San Francisco to pick them up), but the rest of us should be able to buy ours sometime in 2014.
