Jodi Arias will likely start her testimony Tuesday where she left off last week, showing the jury sexually charged text and email messages she exchanged with her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, just weeks before she allegedly killed him in self-defense.

Tuesday will be Arias’ seventh day on the witness stand, and she may be testifying for days to come.
She still has to explain why she killed Alexander in June 2008, and her actions after his death. Once defense attorney Kirk Nurmi finishes his direct examination of his client, prosecutor Juan Martinez will get his chance to question Arias. Martinez’s cross-examination of Arias could also take days to complete.

The text messages that will likely be discussed in court Tuesday are from May 2008, which, according to Arias, was shortly after she moved back home to California to get away from Alexander’s abuse. Arias had been living in Mesa, Arizona, where Alexander owned a house.
In one of the text messages, Alexander makes it clear he was still interested in having a sexual relationship with Arias.
“You are the ultimate slut in bed… you’ll rejoice in being a whore, whose sole purpose in life is to please me any way I desire,” wrote Alexander.
Arias admitted she was willing to indulge Alexander’s sexual desires.
In another text message dated May 26, 2008, Alexander told Arias, “You looked like a pure whore.”
Arias said Alexander sent that enraged text to her after she wrote on a mutual friend's Facebook page, “Are those man boobs, or are you ripped?” in reference to a scene from a Will Ferrell movie. The comment made Alexander jealous and angry, according to Arias.
Alexander’s alleged rage issues, jealousy and physical abuse of Arias, could support her claim of self-defense.
