Raise a glass to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are launching their first wine label.
The engaged duo have planned a March release date for their first win, a pink rosé called Miraval. The wine will be made from organic grapes from the couple's 1,000-acre French estate, Chateau Miraval.
A wine previously released from the chateau was called "Pink Floyd" in honor of the rock band recording their album "The Wall" at the estate years before. The new label will be a joint venture between Pitt and Jolie and the Perrin family. The Perrin family also own other wines, but this new one will bear a label that reads "bottled by Jolie-Pitt and Perrin."
According to Bloomberg, Pitt said that the couple will be very hands-on with their latest business venture: “We are intimately involved and quite enthused over the wine project with our friends the Perrin family.”
Winemaker Marc Perrin agreed, telling Bloomberg, “If you knew Brad and Angelina, you would see they are in search of perfection in everything."
He added, “Brad and Angelina are very friendly, nice people and down to earth. They’re thinking long term.”
