On the stand Wednesday, Jodi Arias described Travis Alexander as a being bully at times, saying, "Sometimes, I would do something to piss him off and he would send more mean text messages or e-mails or chatting."
Arias said when Alexander would get mad at her she would visibly shake. "It was like my nerves, kind of like a Chihuahua shakes, they just kind of tremble a little bit," said Arias.

6:27 p.m. ET: The email they have been discussing was sent to Alexander in May 2008. Arias said she still cared a lot about him at that time, and was willing to back off their relationship if he needed that. In the email, Arias told him she still loved him.
6:25 p.m. ET: Arias said she did not want Alexander to feel obligated to be his friend. She was not ashamed to call him her friend.
6:18 p.m. ET: Arias said Alexander tried to kept their relationship a secret in front of people like his ex-girlfriend.
6:15 p.m. ET: Defense attorney Nurmi asked Arias why she never cut Alexander out of her life. Arias said she never had any "extreme" thoughts like that, and she just wanted things to be cordial between them.

4:40 p.m. ET: At some point in May or June of 2008, Arias said she suggested again to Alexander he needed to get professional help for his attraction to children.
"I didn’t really want to bring it up anymore. But, after he made that comment about sodomizing a little girl on the phone ... I was concerned that he wasn’t making any progress. So, I sent him another of a little stack of pamphlets that I had," said Arias.
4:38 p.m. ET: Arias is talking about how Alexander did not like that she was talking to other men through email and other means.
4:35 p.m. ET: Numri is asking Arias about other sexually explicit names Alexander would call her.
"He calls me a bitch, he tells me I’m worthless," said Arias.
4:33 p.m. ET: Alexander sent Arias a text message on May 26, 2008, calling her a "pure whore."

"I wasn’t aware at the time that she had a drug addiction and she was an alcoholic, and she was only 17. "I don’t think any of my pleasures were vile, maybe lustful, and I didn’t expect him to be designed for that," said Arias.

1:53 p.m. ET: "It always seemed that way, like our arguments would always end up with me apologizing more and I felt bad for saying that too," said Arias.
1:50 p.m. ET: Nurmi is asking Arias if she felt better after moving to Yreka, California. Arias said her relationship with Alexander at this point was back and forth while she was in Yreka.
"It was still up and down with Travis so I would feel down at times and then up. Sometimes, I would do something to piss him off and he would send more mean text messages or e-mails or chatting. So, I didn’t like that because I knew I would still have to see him in the future as far as Prepaid Legal events. And I wanted us to be able to be friends. I wanted us to be able to show up at these events and show up with our own respective spouses and be happy for each other," said Arias.
1:47 p.m. ET: Arias said she got so mad one time when Alexander was bullying her that she threatened to tell people he was a pedophile.
"I said the only thing that I’m going to be spitting out is the fact that you’re a pedophile with a past. And something like that. And I was saying… I don’t know. At the time I categorized what I saw as child pornography. I realize it wasn’t child pornography. It was just a picture of a young boy," said Arias.

1:38 p.m. ET: Arias said Alexander accessed her email account in April 2008. In the fall of 2007, Alexander suggested to Arias that they should exchange passwords to their email accounts to help rebuilt trust in their relationship.
1:34 p.m. ET: "I felt really bad because I knew what it was like when I found out that he was seeing a bunch of girls on the side when I was his girlfriend. And now he had a girlfriend and I was one of the girls that he was seeing on the side that his girlfriend didn’t know about," said Arias.
1:33 p.m. ET: Alexander and Arias had multiple issues in their relationship around the time she moved. Arias said Alexander had told her he was dating another girl, Lisa Andrews, in the Spring of 2008. Arias said despite this, she continued to sleep with him, because "old habits die hard."
"Well, internally it didn’t always feel OK but It’s kind of like old habits die hard and we were still together physically, so the opportunity was always there to act that way. And obviously there was still some chemistry or attraction to a degree. And I knew it was unhealthy, but I wasn’t making healthy decisions at that time so I just continued to sleep with him," said Arias.
1:29 p.m. ET: Arias said Alexander flipped her off when she was drove off on her way to Yreka.
"It hurt my feelings. I didn’t want to leave things like that. He used to say we should never go to sleep angry at each other," said Arias.
1:28 p.m. ET: "I just remember I left crying. I didn’t want to leave things that way. But, I just knew he’d call me or I’d call him and there would be apologies because that was always the cycle. I felt unsettled leaving things that way, but you know I just thought we’d talk about it later," said Arias.

She appears to be in better spirits today than she was yesterday.

1:08 p.m. ET: Judge Stephens said the defense has not established prosecutorial misconduct is present in this case. She denied their request for a mistrial or any other remedy. Testimony could begin any minute now.
1:03 p.m. ET: Nurmi said his argument is not a sham. "This is about violating a court order,"said Nurmi.
1:01 p.m. ET: Prosecutor Martinez says the defense argument is a sham.
1:00 p.m. ET: Nurmi is offering other remedies the court could consider instead of a mistrial. One of these options could be taking the death penalty off the table.
12:57 p.m. ET: The defense said Sky Hughes and her husband Chris Hughes were on the witness list and should not have been watching the trial because of a court order. Nurmi said, despite the court order, the prosecution had Sky Hughes watch the proceedings and feed him information.
12:55 p.m. ET: Nurmi said prosecutor Juan Martinez has yelled at witnesses and thrown evidence on the ground.
12:53 p.m. ET: Defense attorney Kirk Nurmi is arguing that prosecutorial misconduct is present in this case and a mistrial should be granted. In fact, Nurmi said he could go on for hours about how much prosecutorial misconduct there has been in this case. Instead, he says he will keep it to a greatest hits list.

Hughes is married to Chris Hughes, who testified earlier about a conversation he had with defense witness Gus Searcy before the trial. Chris Hughes asked Searcy why he was going to testify for the defense. During this conversation, Chris Hughes called Defense Attorney Kirk Nurmi a "snake."

Before Arias took the stand Wednesday, Judge Sherry Stephens held a hearing about the defense’s motion accusing Juan Martinez of prosecutorial misconduct.
Arias ended a humiliating day of emotional and sex-filled testimony Tuesday by discussing how she decided to go back home to Yreka, California, from Mesa, Arizona, where Alexander lived, in March 2008. Arias said Alexander hit her with a backhand while he was driving on the freeway, and it upset her so much that she decided to move home to her grandparents' house.
