A little dog named Banana Joe scored a big dog show win!
The Affenpinscher won best in show at Westminster Kennel Club dog show last night in New York. It's a first-ever win for the toy breed known for its monkey-like face (Affe means monkey in German).
A 20-month-old sheepdog named Swagger, competing in only his fourth show ever, was a big fan-favorite. And in an amazing turn of events, he took home the first-ever "Reserve Best in Show" title. Basically, it's second place, but the first time a second-place winner had ever been named.
While Swagger likely has a bright future ahead, Banana Joe is retiring. The 5-year-old will go home to Holland after a few victory laps!
