Legendary music producer Phil Spector's 2003 trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson was one of the most salacious in modern history, with all the elements of intrigue and suspense combined with a glimpse into the seedy underbelly of the music industry.
Now, HBO is premiering its own biopic on Spector and the trial, starring Al Pacino as the convicted killer and Helen Mirren as his defense attorney.
Though "Phil Spector" won't air until March 24, a new picture of Pacino in a sky-high Spector wig was just released, as well as an intense minute-and-a-half trailer that follows the drama of the trial.
In true Pacino fashion, the actor ups the ante with his performance, showing Spector as an unhinged genius who shoots guns in a studio, screams at his attorney and gets blood thrown on him by protestors.
