George Zimmerman is expected to be in court Tuesday for a hearing on several motions, including a request to delay his trial.
Zimmerman’s defense filed a motion Wednesday asking the court to push back the trial for several reasons, including what it calls the prosecution’s “formalistic approach” to providing discovery.
The prosecution has stated its opposition the request for the delay.

The hearing will also cover the defense’s request for ABC News’ entire recording between Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend, known as Witness 8, and Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump.
Zimmerman’s defense was given a recording of the interview, but it claims it is only a portion of the interview. According to Zimmerman’s defense attorney Mark O’Mara. the recording has obvious indicators that it was edited, such as stops and starts.

The other two motions for the hearing deal with discovery requests.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET.
