Super-bold: Beyonce's halftime blows up Twitter

"Phenomenal," "amazing," "electrifying" and "killing it" -- these were the words used to describe Beyonce's Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in the nearly 5.5 million tweets sent during her performance.

The 31-year-old singer not only performed her most famous hits, including "Crazy In Love" and "Single Ladies," but also brought the house down by bringing her former Destiny's Child group mates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, onto the stage.

Twitter users, who were already abuzz with Beyonce love, nearly lost it at that point. Here's a selection of some of the best tweets:

The show was so widely praised that the third quarter power outage was even jokingly attributed to her incredible performance (even by her very proud husband, Jay-Z)   

Queen B didn't waste any time after her halftime show -- she announced shortly thereafter that she would be going on her first tour since 2009, which is set to kick off in April. Who run the world? Beyonce!
