Former New York Mayor Ed Koch died Friday of congestive heart failure. The lawyer served three terms as mayor -- until 1989.

Koch was also a radio host, a columnist and served as a judge on the show, "The People's Court."

He was hospitalized for anemia in September. Koch was 88 years old.
