A snowmobiler hurt last week while competing in the X-Games died Thursday in Colorado.
Caleb Moore was injured while doing a back flip off a massive snow ramp. He landed badly and tumbled over the handlebars of his snowmobile which then appeared to flip over and land right on top of his chest. At first things did not look too bad -- just moments after the crash, Moore got up and walked off with some help. Later at the hospital where he was being checked for head injuries, doctors found bleeding around his heart.
Surgeons attempted to repair the damage but Moore was not able to recover. He was 25.
According to a local TV station quoted in the Bleacher Report, some of Moore's organs will be donated.
ESPN, TV home of the X-Games, says it is reviewing safety issues at the games.
Moore's death is the first in the X-Games' 18-year history.
