Many veteran Twitter users regarded the announcement of Vine with some disdain, but it didn't affect the app's initial performance: It has already been downloaded millions of times. For those late to the game, the service allows you to record 6-second videos, which you can easily share with your Twitter followers. Using the same brevity as its parent service may end up being a success for Vine, but this early in the game, we can only wait and see.
The masterminds of the Internet wasted no time throwing porn on the new video service, but it only took a few more days before it was put to its best imaginable use: Cat videos.
Vinecats was created by a consulting firm called q30 Design that says they "have a soft spot for cat videos, just like everyone else." And who could blame them? Try to resist clicking that "Gimme More Cats" button a few times. Just try.
