Jurors heard about Travis Alexander’s temper for the first time in testimony Wednesday.
A friend says Alexander was enraged at Jodi Arias because she didn’t like a trick he played on her.
Desiree Freeman (pictured below) testified Wednesday in Arias’ trial and says Alexander’s behavior was so “over the top,” it “shocked” her.
Freeman said she was on a trip to Havasupai, Arizona, with Arias, Alexander and her brother Daniel Freeman, when it happened. At one point during the trip, Arias got out of the car to take pictures. When she tried to get back in the car, Alexander pretended to drive off. When she finally got in the car, Arias said she didn’t appreciate his joke, and Freeman says Alexander reacted in a shocking way.
Freeman said she couldn’t remember exactly what he said, and it wasn’t what he said that was shocking, but how he said it surprised her. Freeman said Arias did not react but she just stared out the window of the car after Alexander got mad.
After Freeman finished her testimony, the defense called her brother Daniel Freeman (pictured below) to the stand.
Freeman testified that during the trip to Havasaupai, he witnessed another fight between Arias and Alexander. He said he saw Alexander get mad at Arias over how she packed her daypack for a hike, and he helped diffuse the situation by telling everyone to calm down.
