Brimfield, Ohio, police say a drunken driver was eating fried chicken when he drove his car into a swamp, HLN affiliate WJW reported.

“During field tests, the driver paid homage to E.T. by following Sgt. Knarr’s finger with his own finger instead of using his eyes,” police said on the department’s Facebook page.

Dannie Mallicoat was charged with OVI.
