  • Students go wild, applauding his candor
High school senior Jacob Rudolph took the opportunity to come out in front of hundreds of his classmates after he was named "Class Actor."

Let's count the wonderful moments in this video:

1.) While many people are scared of merely speaking in public, high school senior Jacob Rudolph took the opportunity to come out in front of hundreds of his classmates after he was named "Class Actor." He identifies himself as an "LGBT teen," and says he is tired of acting like someone he is not.

2.) The moment was filmed by his father, Jonathan Rudolph, who added the following preface: "In front of a crowd of 300+ high school students, as well has parents and teachers, Jacob said something in his acceptance speech that took more guts to do than anything I've ever attempted in my life."

3.) After Jacob's speech, his classmates erupt into enthusiastic applause. As Rudolph's father writes, "They clearly approve."

4.) "Take me or leave me, move me out of the way. Because I am who I am, and that's how I am going to act from now on."
