The International Olympic Committee didn’t need to see Lance Armstrong's confessional interview with Oprah to strip him of his Olympic medal.
The committee announced Thursday that Armstrong has been officially stripped of the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. They've even asked him to send it back.
The disgraced cyclist already lost his seven Tour de France titles, but until this week he had always denied using performance enhancing drugs.
Armstrong is expected to come clean regarding the doping allegations against him in a two-night interview with Oprah that will air Thursday and Friday.
