Authorities say Lance Tomberlin, 26, tried to rob a convenience store with a cattle prod.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office says Lance Tomberlin, 26, tried to rob a convenience store with a cattle prod, HLN affiliate WCTV reported.

“The man shocked the clerk with a cattle prod several times before the clerk produced a handgun and challenged the suspect,” police said in a press release.

Tomberlin was arrested and charged with robbery and aggravated battery.
