One of the most complete pictures of the horror of the Clackamas Town Center shootings Tuesday afternoon can be pieced together through social media.
Many of the estimated 10,000 people who were inside the mall at the time turned to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to document and alert others to the unfolding tragedy.
At least three people died in the attack, including the shooter Jacob Tyler Roberts, and a fourth victim remains hospitalized in serious condition.
As it happened, here is a look at the timeline of events constructed through tweets from survivors and matched up against official police reports.
Approximately 3:28 p.m. PST: Roberts begins opening fire with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, walking quickly through the mall in a hockey mask and load-bearing vest.
3:29 p.m. PST: Multiple 911 calls are received reporting an active shooting at the mall.
3:30 p.m. PST: First police units arrive at the scene.
