Frankie Muniz, best known for his starring role on "Malcolm in the Middle," revealed on Twitter that he suffered a "mini stroke" last week.
The actor, who turned 27 Wednesday, was taken to an Arizona hospital last Friday after he began having mysterious symptoms.
He revealed the shocking news via Twitter, saying, "I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a "Mini Stroke", which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!"
TMZ reports that friends took him to the ER after he started "acting really weird" and became incomprehensible.
Muniz went on "Good Morning America" Wednesday to explain how frightening the situation was. "I couldn't say words. I thought I was saying them! My fiance was looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language."
Muniz insists that though he doesn't know what caused the mini-stroke, he is grateful for his health. "I can't get a deep breath in," he said, adding, "I'm still trying to make sense of it, but happy I'm alive."
