Nick Lachey is a hardcore Cincinnati Bengals fan, and when his hometown football team took on the San Diego Chargers Sunday, he let his fandom get the best of him.
The singer was kicked out of the San Diego stadium for allegedly unruly behavior, but Lachey tweeted to his more than 200,000 followers that he had no regrets. "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals! #whodey."
The new father would go on to tweet his support for the Bengals, especially after their 20-13 win.
According to numerous reports, including TMZ, Lachey and his friends, all die-hard Bengals fans, were "talking smack" to Chargers fans and were involved in an altercation, which was caught on video.TMZ reports that a Chargers fan accuses Lachey of choking him and calling his wife a derogatory name.
Lachey tweeted later that not only was he not kicked out for excessive trash talking, but that the fans were out of line, "I simply don't appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction."
HLN has reached out to Lachey for comment over the incident, but has not heard back.
