In yet another "American Idol" dust up, current judge Nicki Minaj is hitting back at Aerosmith frontman and former judge, Steven Tyler, for slamming this season of the show.
The feud erupted when Tyler, who was a judge on the reality show for two seasons, told MTV News that Minaj and her cohorts couldn't spot talent like he could. "If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield," he said.
Tyler also said that the notorious fighting between the judges was hurting the show. "It needs to be judged by people that [are] honest, true, that have the 'it' factor. Not the 'it' factor because they can fight. The [expletive deleted] is that all about?"
Once Minaj heard of Tyler's comments, she immediately fired back on Twitter, calling his words "racist."
"You assume I wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? Why? black? rapper? go [expletive deleted] yourself and worry about yourself babe," Minaj tweeted. "Steven, you haven't seen me judge one single solitary contestant yet!"
She didn't stop there. "LOL lets make him a shirt that says 'No Coloreds Allowed' then escort him down 2 Barbara Walters so he can tell how he was threatened w/guns."
Minaj chalks up Tyler's comments to vindictiveness: "When Steven 1st went on Idol he was ridiculed by his peers & fans alike. Called a sell out," she tweeted. "So what does he do? Ridicule the next judge."
Tyler has so far not responded to Minaj's comments. The next season of "American Idol" with new judges Minaj, Mariah Carey and Keith Urban begins in January.
