Julie Franck, 36, was charged with armed robbery

Chicago police say 36-year-old Julie Franck wore a ski mask when she and an accomplice broke into her elderly mother’s home to steal her $40,000 diamond engagement ring, credit cards and $200 in cash, HLN affiliate WBBM reported.

Franck was charged with armed robbery. He is being held on a $300,000 bail.
